National Commission for Women Act, 1990 (20 of 1990).

The Act came into force on 30 th August 1990.

Objective of the Act: It led to the setting up of the National Commission of Women to review the constitution and legal safe guards for women and advise the Government on all policy matters related to women’s rights violations.
